    EXTREN™ Pultruded Fiberglass

    EXTREN™ is a Strongwell product of reinforced fiberglass mixed with either a thermosetting polyester or vinyl ester resin. EXTREN™ is produced in over 100 standard shapes and is corrosion and UV resistant.

    Availability

    • Series 500- All-purpose grade made with an isophthalic polyester resin and a UV inhibitor. The Shapes are Olive Green.
    • Series 525- All-purpose grade made from a fire retardant isophthalic polyester resin and a UV inhibitor. Extren 525 comes in Slate Gray while certain handrail and ladder components come in yellow.
    • Series 625- This premium grade is fire retardant and highly corrosion resistant from the utilization of a vinyl ester resin system with a UV inhibitor. The shapes come in Beige.
    • Available in a variety of sheet, rod, tube, channels, I-beams, angles, etc.
    • Custom fabrication services available from WS Hampshire.

    GPO Glass Mat Polyester

    GPOGPO 1, 2 & 3 are made by combining random-laid glass fibers saturated with polyester resin and combined with suitable fillers. Choose from three polyester glass-mat-sheet laminate grades GPO-1, GPO-2, and GPO-3. Both GPO-1 and 2 and UL recognized.

    • GPO-1 laminates are suitable for general purpose applications
    • GPO-2 laminates are for applications where flame resistance is required
    • GPO-3 laminates are used where resistance to carbon tracking and flame resistance are required

    SAFRAIL™ is a ladder and cage system made from a premium grade polyester resin system with flame retardant and UV inhibitors. A vinyl ester resin system is available when additional corrosion resistance is needed. OSHA safety yellow is used for side rails and cages. The rungs are a pultruded fiberglass with a non-skid surface.

    Wesliner is a fiberglass polyester thermoset composite material that demonstrates excellent physical, thermal, and chemical resistant properties in a wide range of applications. Wesliner is UL classified with a flame spread of 25 while exhibiting excellent “”splash & spill”” corrosion resistance to acids, bases, and hydrocarbons.

    Wesliner has been the material of choice for laboratory fume hood liners and is suitable in any application requiring heat resistance, chemical resistance, and excellent mechanical properties while providing a desired aesthetic appearance.
